Aging, Geriatrics, and Eldercare
Geriatrics
The Division of Geriatrics provides consultation and comprehensive interdisciplinary services for the physical, emotional, and social well-being of healthy and frail elderly patients with complex medical and psychosocial problems including dementia, incontinence, mobility disorders, Alzheimer's Disease, memory impairment, weight loss, and depression. Osteoporosis evaluations are performed in conjunction with the Northwestern Medical Group Osteoporosis program.
General Internal Medicine
The General Internal Medicine Clinic provides comprehensive medical care for adults. This includes evaluating new problems, caring for chronic diseases, advising you on preventive care such as cancer screening tests, and providing advice about diet and exercise that can help you stay healthy. We also coordinate our patients' care with other specialists when needed, including medical subspecialties and surgery. We are committed to caring for you as a person and making sure you always get the best health care possible.

Bone Health and Osteoporosis Program
The Bone Health and Osteoporosis Program is a comprehensive and interdisciplinary program designed to address issues related to skeletal health.
The goals of this program include:
Bone Mineral Density Scans (DEXAs)
Our bone densitometry unit, a Hologic Delphi W, allows us to provide patients with on site, state-of-the-art imaging on a scheduled and walk in basis. The hours of operation are from 9:00 am - 3:45 pm, Monday through Friday. For an appointment, please call 312-695-1880.
Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer's Disease Center (CNADC)
Northwestern Medical Group provides patient care for those affected by Alzheimer's disease and all other forms of dementia, aphasia, memory disorders, neuropsychiatry of brain disorders, behavioral disorders of epilepsy, and cognitive changes of aging. Our staff includes behavioral neurologists, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists and social workers, and we specialize in neuropsychological assessment.
Northwestern Medical Group patients are connected to the powerful research resources of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine through the CNADC Neurobehavior and Memory Clinic. Research at the Clinic extends from molecular biology of the dementias to functional imaging of cognition, and includes observational studies and clinical trials. The research activities occur within a center established through the US National Institutes of Health and the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Bone Health and Osteoporosis Program
The Bone Health and Osteoporosis Program is a comprehensive and interdisciplinary program designed to address issues related to skeletal health.
The goals of this program include:
- Identifying patients at high-risk for developing osteoporosis, a condition associated with reduction in bone strength;
- Prescreening and providing appropriate treatment when indicated;
- Providing modern advanced osteoporosis care to the complex patient, including those with glucocorticoid-induced, post transplant, and premenopausal osteoporosis;
- Preventing new and recurrent fractures;
- Increasing awareness in the medical and lay community about osteoporosis and the long-term importance of bone health;
- Participating in clinical research to further advance the knowledge of and treatment options for osteoporosis.
