Neurology
The Department of Neurology provides treatment for a full range of neurological disorders. Our physicians are faculty members of Northwestern University Medical School who provide care for patients and conduct clinical research as well. The clinical mission of the Department is to provide the highest quality care and treatment for patients with neurological disorders, while advancing new therapies and uncovering the causes and cures of neurological diseases. Our physicians have areas of subspecialty interest in neurology and many of them are national leaders in their field. The subspecialty clinics provide care for Alzheimer's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), multiple sclerosis, epilepsy/seizures, stroke, sleep disorders, neuromuscular disorders, Parkinson's and other movement disorders. The majority of these specialty clinics have multidisciplinary teams incorporating the services of psychologists, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, as well as social workers. The clinical practice operates in conjunction with the Neuro Testing Center which provides a full spectrum of neurodiagnostic services.

The Department of Neurological Surgery ranks among the nation's leading centers of neurosurgical patient care, teaching and research. The most modern equipment and techniques to achieve the finest quality of care for patients with all aspects of neurosurgical illness.
The Neurosurgery Department features internationally recognized cerebrovascular and endovascular programs for the surgical treatment of stroke, brain aneurysms, brain or spinal vascular malformations, and other blood vessel-related problems; one of the most advanced integrated spinal surgery and disease programs in the nation; a state-of-the-art neurosurgical oncology program; a leading-edge neuromodulation and functional neurosurgery program to treat movement disorders, epilepsy and chronic pain; and a comprehensive pediatric neurosurgery program for the treatment of infant and childhood neurological conditions and syndromes.
Orthopaedic Surgery
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopaedic conditions. These conditions include not only general orthopaedics but also the subspecialty areas of hand, elbow, foot and ankle, knee, shoulder, spine, sports medicine, total joints, trauma related orthopaedic injuries and metastatic lesions of the musculoskeletal system.

Bone Health and Osteoporosis Program
The Bone Health and Osteoporosis Program is a comprehensive and interdisciplinary program designed to address issues related to skeletal health.

Bone Mineral Density Scans (DEXAs)
Our bone densitometry unit, a Hologic Delphi W, allows us to provide patients with on site, state-of-the-art imaging on a scheduled and walk in basis. The hours of operation are from 9:00 am - 3:45 pm, Monday through Friday. For an appointment, please call 312-695-1880.

- Physical & Occupational Therapy - The therapists specialize in general rehabilitation, strength and conditioning programs, as well as mechanical diagnoses and treatment.
Bone Health and Osteoporosis Program
The Bone Health and Osteoporosis Program is a comprehensive and interdisciplinary program designed to address issues related to skeletal health.
The goals of this program include:
- Identifying patients at high-risk for developing osteoporosis, a condition associated with reduction in bone strength;
- Prescreening and providing appropriate treatment when indicated;
- Providing modern advanced osteoporosis care to the complex patient, including those with glucocorticoid-induced, post transplant, and premenopausal osteoporosis;
- Preventing new and recurrent fractures;
- Increasing awareness in the medical and lay community about osteoporosis and the long-term importance of bone health;
- Participating in clinical research to further advance the knowledge of and treatment options for osteoporosis.
